The first course in a cross-disciplinary Honors sequence organized around a single theme or topic. Designed to explore the continuity of cultural traditions through a study of major works of history, literature, philosophy, social thought, fine arts, and the sciences, and to compare and contrast the modes of inquiry characteristic of those disciplines.
