Catalog Description
An examination of the developing child in a societal context focusing on the interrelationship of family, school and community with an emphasis on historical, cultural, and political factors that influence the process of socialization including identity development. Highlights the importance of respectful, reciprocal relationships that support and empower families. Major theoretical perspectives will be examined. Also listed as CD 15.
