This course introduces students to the history and performance of African dance. Students will learn, practice, and choreograph traditional movements and explore the way that traditional African dance forms express life passages and seasonal changes. The course will also examine how various percussive and nonpercussive instruments contribute to these expressions. Field trips may be required. |  | Important Dates |  |
