EDUC 118 - EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN

An introduction to special education for K-12 students. Offers a survey and study of various characteristics of exceptional children. The primary focus will be on the categories of children with disabilities, but will include children at risk, and children from culturally diverse backgrounds (formerly CDES 118). DS5

EDUC 240 - INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT

Prepares students to become effective instructional assistants in K-12 classrooms. Tutoring, individual and small group assistance, yard duty, test administration, communication and guidance, record keeping, ethical practices, and instructional technology are practiced during 30 hours of supervised fieldwork.
