My first degree was from a community college, and I strongly believe in the importance of access to quality education.
I have taught community college history for 19 years - Spring 2012 is my first semester at Saddleback. Prior to joining Saddleback, I taught at Northern VirginiaCommunity College, Cypress College, and most recently at Portland Community College. I have always been an active faculty member, serving on the faculty senate as well as division committees concerned with curricululm standards, accreditation, and hiring.
In addition to my teaching experience, I served as a Research Associate for the Federal Judicial History Office in Washington, DC, which is the teaching andresearch arm for the United States Federal Courts, where my duties included oral history projects with retired Associate Supreme Court Justices Thurgood Marshall, William Brennan and Lewis Powell.
I am delighted to be at Saddleback, and I look forward to seeing you in a class soon!
