Carol Schachat

Carol Schachat, M.A. joined Saddleback College in 2011 and has been teaching in the California Community College system for over 13 years.  She received her Master's in Clinical Psychology with honors at California State University, Dominguez Hills with an emphasis in Marriage Family Therapy.  As a Clinical Research Coordinator in Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Brain Imaging Center at UC Irvine, she performed psychiatric and cognitive research on the effects of sleep deprivation on depression, cocaine addiction relapse, and MRI studies of attention for six years.  She has performed as a Psychiatric Social Worker II for Children's Services, Marriage Family Therapy intern for Severely Emotionally Disturbed adolescents and Counselor adjunct at DeAnza College.
