Deidre Cavazzi

Deidre Cavazzi is a dance artist and educator in Southern California, currently teaching in the dance departments at Saddleback College and Mira Costa College.  She is also the choreographer and artistic director for ArchiTexture Dance Company, a site specific, contemporary dance performance group located in South Orange County.  Several of the dancers in Deidre's company are also students at Saddleback!  www.architexturedance.org

Deidre teaches Dance History and Modern Dance technique classes at Saddleback College, and also choreographs for faculty dance concerts.  She loves working with students, both in the classroom and the studio, and is always excited to meet people who share her passion for dance!  When she is not teaching or rehearsing, Deidre loves spending time at the ocean and hiking in the mountains.  Some of her favorite activities outside of the dance world include yoga, snorkeling, snowshoeing, and traveling!  She loves visiting new places--some of her most beloved destinations include  Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Costa Rica, Hawaii, and Alaska.  She hopes to soon visit Bali, Peru, and New Zealand!  When at home, she is often found curled up on the sofa reading a book, playing with her adorable cat named Aria, or spending time with her loving husband, Bentley.
