Introduction to Principles of Macroeconomics:
Welcome to Economics 2 (Principles of Macroeconomics). I hope to make this course both an interesting and interactive learning experience for you. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Professor Dezzie Prewitt. I have been teaching Economics at the college level since the spring semester of 2007.

Before I started my teaching career, I worked full-time as an Economist with the United States Department of Labor, for about 5 years. My job was to collect data for the Employment Cost Index (ECI), which is a major economic indicator that is published quarterly by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. ECI measures the inflation rate of wages and employer paid benefits in the United States labor market.

I am interested in the National Basketball Association. I also like to watch USC go to the Rose Bowl every year. My expertise is in the area of labor economics. If you have any questions about the U.S. Economy related to or unrelated to the textbook, please feel free to contact me anytime. My contact information is below. But, just remember that my opinion as an Economist is always right, no matter what the subject is; (just kidding.)
