Juanita Baltierra joined Saddleback College in February, 1985. Her responsibilities include serving as a full-time Counselor in the Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) office. She has coordinated several projects while at Saddleback College including the EOPS/CARE Mentor Program and the Early Start Project, an early outreach program for middle school latino students. Currently she is co-coordinating the Counseling Division's Intern Training program with Generalist Counselor Jan Ventura and Special Services Counselor Zina Boratynec. Her fall 2010 sabbatical included the development of a training manual to be used in the intern training program. A PDF copy of the training manual is available at the following link:

Prior to joining Saddleback College, Juanita worked as an Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Counselor/Coordinator at California State University, Fullerton. She held similar positions at Cal Poly Pomona, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and CSU, Long Beach.
