I am an Adjunct Professor at Saddleback College, which means that I teach here part-time.  I will be starting a new job at Nevada State College this summer but hope to come back to California frequently for the weather and great students.

Teaching Experience

I teach mainly down in San Diego.  I have taught at the University of California, San Diego, Palomar College, Grossmont College, and City College.  If you try and find me on Ratemyprofessor.com, I am under Kathryn Herbst and Kathryn Herbst-Damm. 

I teach Intro to Psychology, Cross-Cultural Psychology, Statistics, Social Psychology, Social Psychology and Medicine, and soon I will be teaching Lifespan Human Development and others.

Online Course Methods

Introduction to Psychology:
This course involves a lot of self-paced reading and interactions online.  I provide discussion assignments that get you talking about how topics relate to our everyday lives.  Students usually enjoy this course requirement and often get into some great debates.
I also make use of great videos to help demonstrate the topics we are reading and discussing. 

Statistics:
This course makes use of video-like shows where I teach the material as might be seen in the class.  Homework and discussion help make this difficult easier to handle.
