Welcome to one of the most fulfilling opportunities you could do with your life! I have practiced nursing for over 20 years and continue to feel passionate about this field of service! My clinical background and expertise is as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Obstetrical and Women’s Health Nursing. I began teaching at Saddleback College part time in 1995 and have been a full time faculty member since 1999. I manage to enjoy working a few hours clinically, however, my primary focus is on the students I instruct.
I teach a N172 and N174 clinical rotation and N174 Women’s Health Theory. In addition, I sometimes teach Growth & Development, IV Therapy, and Health Assessment. I love teaching because it continues to increase my learning curve as well!
Personal:
I am married to Scott, have two daughters, two grandchildren, and a Cocker Spaniel “Bailey.” In my spare ?!?!? time, I enjoy taking walks and listening to favorite oldies tunes. Some of my favorite places (close-by) to spend time at are Lake Arrowhead, Palm Springs and the beach. I love music and have played the violin in various orchestras. I believe knowing our purpose in life not only provides us direction, but fulfills us with a passion. Nursing, as a service to others, instills a great purpose. Nursing and working with students at Saddleback College are both part of my life purpose!
