Summer 2013 Information
I'll be teaching Psychology of Aging ONLINE #13445 . The Psychology of Aging course is purely online. There are no orientation meetings or in-class meetings for the online courses. This online course starts on Monday, June 17th, 2013. Please make sure to check your Saddleback email for information regarding the class on the first day of class. You should be checking into the class on the first day of class. If you do not check in by Wednesday, June 19th at 11:59 PM, you will be dropped from the course as a no show. "Checking in" to the course consists of going to the discussion tab of your classroom (left hand side of your classroom), clicking on the check-in thread, and posting an introduction. This will not be available until the first day of class.
For all of my classes, Blackboard will be utilized. Blackboard will not become available until the first day of class. On the first day of class, you'll have access to the course syllabus, course materials, and the assignments that need to be completed. Blackboard can be accessed by going to saddleback.blackboard.com. For all of my classes, I require that you check your Saddleback email or have your emails forwarded to an email that is checked. To have your emails forwarded to a personal email account, please go to mysite to change your preferences. I cannot make this change for you, as I do not have access to do this. All emails are sent through Blackboard, so the correct email needs to be on file. High speed internet connection and Mozilla Firefox (free web browser) are required for my courses, as well.
The required course materials can be located by clicking on the Book Info button on the course schedule listing online. If you have difficulty obtaining this information, please contact the bookstore for assistance.
There are changes from edition to edition for both of these textbooks. Generally, there are minimal changes from edition to edition. However, if you choose to use a previous edition of the textbook, then you'll be responsible for any changes.
