The best advice I can give you for success in college is to read your book. My classes consist of 4 exams and one 4-5 page paper on a historical site or museum. The exams are not cumulative but you are required to read the assigned text. To be successful, I have found that reading and outlining chapters as I read is very helpful.
I joined Saddleback College in 1987 as a student and simply have not left. However, I do have better parking options now. I am passionate about history, politics and teaching. I encourage discussion and find logical debate fascinating.
During my off time I walk, read and volunteer in my community. I love baseball, opera and Turkish coffee. Lastly, I am indebted to the faculty at Saddleback College for helping me achieve my dream of becoming a professor.
