I am Professor Robert Farnsworth. I am the Department Chair of Horticulture and Landscape Design.

I am very pleased to not only introduce myself here, but to also suggest you check out our department's new full time faculty member; Professor Ken Lee. Ken was chosen by the students, as Saddleback College's "Adjunct Instructor of the Year, 2012". We are very pleased to have him here full time, as we embark on a new collaboration within our department with respect to curriculum.

Simply stated, one class will lead to another. At the completion of a Landscape Design Certificate,students will be competitive, and a step ahead in the latest industry trends.

Anyway, back to me. I am a dad, a professor, landscape architect, garden designer, and skier.I really enjoy what I am doing.

I care very much for the success of my students. Some don't like the Horticulture mid-term. All seem to enjoy the garden harvest. We work on real life projects in Landscape Design....and we have some valuable scholarships in our department.Take a course and check it out. I think you will be glad you did!
