Randy, a native from South Dakota, joined the faculty staff in the fall of 2004. His background in EMS began in 1984 and included 911 response as a NREMT-B and NREMT-P, a flight medic for both fixed and rotor-wing air-ambulances, and EMS instruction since 1991.
He has been certified and has had instructorships in the following EMS core programs: EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, and EMT-Paramedic. He has also instructed the following speciality courses for EMS personnel: ACLS, PALS, PEPP, GEMS, PHTLS, BTLS, PBTLS, and BLS-1. He has a degree in Business Management and Landscape Design, is currently registered as a state and national certified paramedic, and is currently working on further educational goals.
Randy will be serving as the Department Chair for the EMT programs here at Saddleback and is honored and excited to be a part of this EMS education faculty team. Randy is married and has five daughters that keep him busy in his spare time.
