Safiah MamoonAssociate FacultyEmail: smamoon@saddleback.edu Phone: (949) 582-4701 Safiah Mamoon B.S., RHIT, CPC Safiah Mamoon obtained her B.S. degree in Homeopathic Medicine from India. After immigrating to the U.S. in 1992, she completed her certificate in Medical Assisting and worked as a medical assistant for 3 years. In 1996, she entered the teaching profession. Since 2000, she has taught Medical Billing and Coding. In addition,she has taught various subjects including front and back medical assisting, medical terminology, and health unit coordinator. She obtained her full-time teaching credentials in 2005. She also has obtained her CPC and RHIT credentials. She has been an associate faculty member at Saddleback College since 2002, teaching billing and coding for the Medical Assisting Program and is currently a categorically-funded, full-time instructor in the H.I.T. program. Apart from teaching, she likes to travel. She considers herself to be a life-long learner.
