Shannon Schmalhofer

B.S., Business Admin. (Accounting) - California State University, Long Beach

Shannon Schmalhofer joined the faculty of Saddleback College in Fall 2012. She graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2004 and entered the public accounting world as an Assurance Associate for Grant Thornton.  After three years with Grant Thornton she found her passion was servicing private companies and interacting directly with the business owners, so she moved to a local firm located in Irvine.  At the local firm she was able to provide her clients with services in addition to assurance, such as tax and consulting.  After five years with the local firm (eight years in public accounting) she is excited to transition into education and help students learn about accounting and assurance services and share her experiences in public accounting.
