I have been teaching in the nursing program at Saddleback College since 1986. My current teaching assignment is advanced nursing and pharmacology.

In addition, I work as a nurse practitioner for the County of Orange in Correctional Medical Services and co-author a pharmacology textbook, Drug Therapy in Nursing.

I received my Masters Degree at the University of California San Francisco and worked in the Emergency Department at San Francisco General while I attended school. My first nurse practitioner job was at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

I love nursing! It is one of the best things I have done in my life. It is not as easy job - fortunately, the joy from being able to help someone who is need always overcomes the difficulty of the daily tasks. I hope that I can help you reach your goals in nursing as both an instructor and mentor. On a personal level, I am fascinated with any type of technology especially my iPhone and iPad. I live with my husband Ben. We have 3 adult children and 7 grandchildren. In my spare time, I love to needlepoint, bake, and shop!
