I have been teaching World History at Saddleback since January 1992.  I also teach full time at another college.  My fields are the Ancient World, Medieval Europe, the Byzantine Empire, and the American Frontier. 

I put more emphasis on understanding the connections between events rather than memorizing facts and dates.  I like to use authors like L.S. Stavrianos, Bernard Lewis, Jared Diamond, Victor Davis Hansen, and  Robert Marks in my classes.
