Tom Lamb is a landscape and ethnographic photographer, based in Laguna Beach. He has dedicated his life to not only creating memorable photographs as well as championing environmental awareness. He has taught all levels and gendres of photography for over 25 years and at Saddleback for over 16.
Using photography as his primary tool, he has pioneered trends with new technologies to further the art of storytelling through his imagery.
Tom creates photographs of the built and un-built landscape both from the air and the ground. He travels extensively and his work is published, exhibited and collected internationally.
His images often examine how we interact with the planet’s most valuable but increasingly threatened resources. Tom is interested in the balance between nature and man’s mark on the land. Views are often abstracted both from the air and ground.
Tom holds a BFA in printmaking from the Hartford Art School and a MFA in photography from the Rhode Island School of Design. Tom and is a twenty-two year exhibitor at the Festival of Arts and exhibits his photography locally at PureLagunaBeach Gallery in Laguna Beach.
