The following applications comprise the MySite eServices suite:

MySite
Available since

MySite is the award-winning web portal
that provides a wide range of information and services to students,
faculty and staff. Students use it to add/drop classes, view class
listings, order books, email instructors, review appointments,
read college announcements, access college email, view their grades/transcripts,
and more! Faculty use MySite for many of the same services as
students, but they can also download rosters, email their classes
and submit their grades. |

LIS

The Leadership Information System provides instructional
management with a wide range of information that allows them to
make informed decisions regarding the class offerings. LIS is
only available to authorized staff via MySite. |

SmartSchedule
Available since
July 2002 |
The online class schedules are accessible from
the college home pages and provide students an intuitive way
to make intelligent decisions regarding class selection. It has
an integrated search engine, instructor email links, updated
enrollment and class status data, detailed curriculum information
and even links to maps with specific directions to the class
location. A shopping cart was added in Fall 2004 that allows
students to maintain a list of desired classes. When their appointment
time arrives, they can enroll in all of the classes in their
cart with one click of a button. The current status of the classes
in the cart can be tracked through a daily email report, or a
personalized RSS feed. You can read more about the shopping cart

KnowledgeBase

The KnowledgeBase allows students to quickly and
easily get the answers they need to a wide range of questions
they have about college. Students can mark questions as a "favorite"
for quick review later, and the information can also be emailed
to others. There is also an "Important Dates" page listing
key dates and deadlines for each semester with a handy reminder
feature. Students can set a reminder for any of the dates listed,
and they will receive an email on the date specified. |

MySite
Agent
Available since

MySite Agent is a new and innovative approach to
providing information to students. It responds to questions phrased
in normal conversational language through a number of different
devices and technologies. MySite Agent can respond to queries
through the web, Instant Messaging (IM), and WAP/xHTML Mobile
devices (such as cell phones). The IM capability opens this service
to a wide range of devices since IM software is freely available
for all computers, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and most
new cell phones. |
